A strategic partner to join Vinitex in its next step: that was what Mark and Nicole Raaijmakers wished for. The siblings took over the business from their father Martien Raaijmakers in 2012 and expanded it into a reputable international business in laboratory furniture. The time has come to bring the company to the next level, together with Jansen Cleanrooms.

By supplying high quality products and thanks to its good reputation, the all-round specialist in design, production and installation of laboratory furniture has grown into an internationally operating company with over 80 employees. To dealmaker Falco Versteegh, who assisted in the process, together with Tim van der Meer, Sem Hage, Fleur Stout and Wouter Homburg, it came as no surprise that Jansen Cleanrooms was interested. “It is a logical step, because the laboratory market is adjacent to its own. This cooperation enables it to expand its own production.”

Similar standards and values

The fact that Jansen Cleanroom also started out as a family business made the siblings decide to enter into this cooperation. “During the meetings it quickly became clear that the standards and values of both companies were similar,” Falco relates. “In the end, they need to continue to build the company together; a good level of common ground will be useful. Another major aspect is the company’s continuity and future perspective. Jansen Cleanrooms wants the best for both the business and its employees.”

“We clicked right away, that was an important first step.”

Cross-selling and market expertise

Not a great deal will change, Falco expects. “Mark and Nicole will stay on board in their roles as technical director and commercial director. In this position, they can continue to focus on their preferred competencies. Eric Vanhees, COO of Jansen Cleanrooms, will be responsible for the activities and the team of Vinitex. Both businesses will profit from cross-selling opportunities and each other’s market expertise. Both have an excellent reputation in their respective markets and by joining forces they are building a sustainable future that will benefit everyone.”

Group Jansen is a family business with over 50 years’ experience in renovation and general contracting services. Jansen Cleanrooms, a 100% subsidiary of Group Jansen, employs 57 people. Since January, the company continues as Jansen Cleanrooms & Labs, while the Vinitex brand will continue to exist, because of its status and reputation in the laboratory world. Nicole Raaijmakers is looking back positively. “We clicked with Jansen right away, that was an important first step. But many more steps were taken, before everything was settled. Fortunately, we had the dealteam at our side during all of them. The cooperation with all stakeholders was pleasant and we look to our joint future with confidence.”
