Investment firm East River Invest has taken a minority stake in OSC, a specialised secondment agency in the field of IT. OSC was founded in 1987 and since then they have brought harmony between their clients, suppliers, employees and the enterprise itself. OSC employs more than 50 of their own professionals.

There were numerous meetings with interested parties during this acquisition process. Strategic parties as well as investors showed their interest in OSC and even put out offers. This gave the seller, Vincent van Engelen, the opportunity to properly compare the offers and to make a well-evaluated choice on which party he would sell his business to. Eventually, the choice fell upon East River Invest, a solid and good investor that allows ERI and the management of OSC to enter the next growth phase.

The client’s wish

The founder and owner of OSC, Vincent van Engelen, happened upon a natural moment in his life where he was ready to transfer the company to the management, and simultaneously attract an investor to allow further growth. The partner was found in the aforementioned East River Invest. Mr. van Engelen will remain on as commissioner at OSC.

East River Invest has acquired a minority stake in OSC and the current management has acquired the remaining shares from Vincent van Engelen.

The client’s experience in his own words

“It was quite a special experience to combine business with a lot of fun under the experienced direction and guidance of Marktlink,” says Vincent. “This transaction has led to a great result.”

The dealteam for this transaction consisted of Luc Keltjens, Marlon Putter and Tim Brouwer.
